On the road again! Piedmont and Blue Ridge Mountains. Skyline Drive closed. Rainy all day.
Leaving Uphill BnB. Met nice people. Heading towards the Southwest.
Objects are closer than they appear. Thick clouds on I-64 in Virginia.
Changing plans. OBX via Nashville appears to be too much driving.
What a nice hotel! Even nicer inside.
The flag makes noise in the wind. Just outside our window. But adds a nice touch, though.
Not yet Tennessee, but pretty close. Does it look different here?
Marion Reflections I.
Marion Reflections II.
Endless I-81. "Sultans of Swing" playing on the radio. Sun is back. Now, it's Tennessee.
Not too bad, as a first impression.
Upside down. Pigeon Forge, gate to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Surrounded by the mountains, Gatlingburg is nice. Could be...
On the other hand, lots of touristic entertainment, souvernier shopping and gambling. Vegas like.
Great Smoky Mountains.
Asheville. Home of Moog synthesizers. They offer free factory tours. HOW COOL IS THAT?
Their studio is used for all kinds of product photography,as well as for music and video production.
That was nice, Asheville! Hope we can come back some day :-)

Charlotte. Big city, but little noise, not crowded, easy to walk around. DC & NYC, look here!
