Car Fire on George Washington ParkwayOn my way to Alexandria this morning, I ran into a car accident on George Washington Memorial Parkway. During heavy rains, a red Ferrari (!) hit Teddy Roosevelt Bridge and caught fire: I came just right. Traffic was slow, but not totally jammed-up. The accident must have happened just minutes before. I had my new E-M1 on the passenger seat and could grab it to take a few pictures through the windshield. The M1 was not really in the right mode, so I only turned the wheel to "A" and hoped for the best. The guy in the car behind me got totally mad, but I thought, "come on, this is my job". After he passed by, I recognized it was a "she" ;-) Actually, the pictures turned out OK and I published the story on Demotix, where it made it to the top of the North America section: If you'd like to use any of the images send me an email or just switch to Demotix by clicking on any of the pictures above.
